Ways of Returning to the Living Intelligence of Body, Psyche, and Soul
Practice, here, is not a set of techniques to be mastered, but a way of returning—a return to the body, to breath, and to the subtle intelligence that becomes available when we begin to listen more deeply.
This work unfolds through a set of interwoven practices, each offering a different doorway into awareness, embodiment, and meaning.
The Symbolic Life Salon
Jungian Psychology in Lived Experience
A small, ongoing series of online and in-person discussion groups exploring Jungian concepts and their relevance in contemporary life.
The Symbolic Life Salon is a facilitated space led by Dr. Anne Taylor, where themes are introduced and conversation unfolds organically through reflection, dialogue, and shared inquiry—often touching into the symbolic and archetypal dimensions of experience.and shared inquiry.
Together, we begin with Map of the Soul by Jungian analyst Murray Stein as a foundation for becoming more familiar with the structure and language of the psyche.
This is not a lecture or a class, but a thoughtful, engaged space for encountering the psyche—through lived experience, conversation, and the gradual deepening of inner awareness.
Embodied Practice
Kundalini Yoga & Breath
A living integration of movement, breath, and awareness—awakening the body as a field of intelligence to be listened to and aligned with.
Drawing from Kundalini Yoga, a form of Raj Yoga rooted in the eight-limbed path of Patanjali, these practices weave together kriya, pranayam, mantra, and meditation as pathways into both physiology and psyche.
Breath becomes central—regulating the nervous system, refining perception, and restoring coherence between body and mind. In this way, practice is not imposed, but remembered—an unfolding alignment of ego with Self.
Meditation & Inner Listening
A Universal Mode of Perception
A quieting within the body—where breath, sensation, and awareness meet, and perception begins to deepen.
While prayer might be thought of as talking to the Divine, meditation here is a refinement of listening—a way of sensing what is already present, but not yet fully heard.
Imaginal & Archetypal Reflection
Workshops & Creative Exploration
A contemplative engagement with inner images and archetypal patterns, drawing from depth psychology, mythic traditions, and embodied awareness.
These offerings will take form as occasional workshops—integrating reflection, creative process, breath, and meditation as pathways into the symbolic life.
Here, meaning is not imposed, but allowed to emerge—through participation, attention, and lived experience.
